FAQ

What is the Sacred Healing Fire Circle?
The Sacred Healing Fire Circle is a way to raise healing Source energy. We gather around a fire and utilize music, dance and other forms of artistic self-expression in a focused, intentional way to connect with the Divine and share Divine energy freely with all beings in need of healing.

Is this a drum circle?
SHFC is much more than a drum circle. While our events may include a fire circle with drumming and dancing, there are other very important elements that are not part of most drum circles. Our events have the explicit purpose to raise and share healing energy through shared, focused intention and creative self-expression.
The music and dancing and other outer forms are not the point, but only the means to an end. We utilize these expressive forms to focus our intention together to create an energetic bridge from our own awareness to our higher selves and Source. Our focused intention opens an energetic portal to a state of ecstatic communion with Source, where we transcend ego and become vehicles for divine healing energy to flow to all beings.

What is an SHFC Facilitator?
We use the term facilitator to describe someone who helps create Sacred Healing Fire Circle events. There are many different roles that facilitators can play, because there are different jobs that need to get done: musicians, dancers, visual artists, healers, physical site preparation and maintenance, fire tending, etc.
SHFC facilitators hold the vision of the SHFC as a way to spread light and healing to all, and we commit our time, energy, and focus to make the events happen.

Who can come to the Events?
Initially the SHFC events will be limited to the facilitators and a small number of participants. This is to give the facilitators an oportunity become familiar with creating the energetic container, and to solidify our understanding of how to work together with our focused intention and the energy that we raise.
As our familiarity with the process increases, we will welcome larger numbers of participants. By limiting the number of participants, we balance the energies and ensure that we have sufficient focused intention to create and hold the energetic container for the less-focused participants, without becoming unbalanced by them.
It is important that all participants share the intention of the event. To this end, SHFC events will not be open to the public. Participants will fill out a short application for each event to help them focus their intention and be in alignment with the healing oportunity of the event.

Where did this come from?
SHFC has been a developing vision of Rasha's since about 1997, influenced by many different healing fire circle and traditions. The Big Island Pohoiki events are made possible by Rulin's generous permission to use her land.
